What Do You Call a Person Who Bombs Abortion Clinics?

Lots of things, maybe, but pro-life or anything vaguely Christian wouldn't be among them. Eric Rudolph obviously doesn't cherish life or he wouldn't have engaged in or defended his acts of murder and terrorism.

  1. A religious extremist who happens to be Christian. Religious extremists may come from all world religions and faith traditions, but their actions and mindsets are equally dangerous.

  2. If I remember correctly, Rudolph has denied he is a Christian. He is an athiest.

  3. Yes, I also understand that Rudolph has said that he is not a Christian.

  4. Thank you for the correction! I researched this on the internet, and found quite a few general descriptions of Rudolf associating him with rightist Christian groups. But in an April 2005 quote from him, he clearly states he is not a Christian.

Interesting how, for the sake of a quick or sensational story, the press muddles the facts once again.

As usual, you are thorough and responsible! I'm glad that you double-checked that important factoid--which I had on good authority, but it's nontheless to have it confirmed.

I so appreciate your stopping by the blog regularly, Deborah, and for your comments!
