Worth Clicking On

Mark D. Roberts' short essays on Christian inclusiveness and exclusiveness are lucid discussions of what it means for followers of Jesus to hate the sin (even in themselves) while loving the sinner. I think that they would make wonderful resources for adult study groups.

I just hate the sins I make!! The biggest lately has been my potty mouth! I have been sick alot lately and really on edge, and catch myself cussing like a drunk sailor, then I immediately feel remorse and ask for forgiveness!
I need to work on my tolerance! I am breaking out my twelve steps!
I just did the step 4: Made a searching and fearless inventory of ourselves.
I also just did the step 5 to you:Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of my wrongs.
Now I need to work #6: Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character. And #7: Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings!
"Ok God, I humbly ask you to remove my shortcomings and ask your forgiveness and ask that I recognize my intolerance before it hits me and can be more tolerant of others and of things that happen my way. I pray that I can be the Christian you want me to be and live my life in a manner that attracts others to want what I have. I believe in attraction rather than promotion and if someone even just one person likes the way I walk my life and comes to believe in you and Jesus Christ then my life was worth it all!
In Jesus name AMEN!"
Thanks Mark!!
