Hi Mark, I wrote you a comment last night, but the audio and the comment fell off while I posted it.
What fun it was to listen to your voice! I was delighted like a little kid and filled with joy listening! It was such a nice connection, such a lovely Christmas gift.
I tend to "hear" words anyway (must come from being raised by musicians and being exposed to rhythm and sound even in utero), so now every time I read your posts, they'll be translated into your voice. Weird to hear voices in your head from people you've never met!
(That's been true of Althouse's work for a couple of months now, ever since she started podcasting. It's interesting how it effects how I read her blog now.)
Liz and Reader: I can hardly stand to listen to myself...only looking at the pics from our trip makes me cringe more.
But Audioblogger is quicker than writing and last night, I didn't feel like writing, proofreading, and re-writing. That all would have taken more time or energy than I had. (Although I do approximate the process when I record an audio post. This post, for example, was the sixth attempt at doing a "quick" post-trip audio.)
Reader, I was a bit stunned to hear Althouse's voice for the first time a few months ago. It was nothing like I'd imagined it would be. The experience of actually hearing her was like seeing a radio personality for the first time.
