Get involved with the Boys and Girls Clubs in your community. Having recently served on the board of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Clermont County for four years, I can vouch that the clubs do change young people's lives for the better. And that's good for our communities...ultimately for our country.

You don't fool me for a minute.
You're glued to the tube, rooting for OU and Pitt.
Pastor Mark,
This is off the topic, but I don't know how to reach you except through this blog. I would like you to give me the name of the book you mentioned in Sunday School with reference to praying. I know your lessions are planned, but I wish you would consider doing some programs on prayer. Thanks!
Michelle:
I will call you tomorrow with my contact information.
The book I believe I mentioned on prayer, which I also mentioned in my sermon today, is called 'Prayer' by Ole Hallesby. It was written in the 1930s and the language is sometimes a bit dated. But it's a great book. (Philip was reading it to me again today as we drove back from Columbus.)
I would love to do something on prayer and as to my lessons, nothing is chiseled in stone. Maybe we could even do the Hallesby book. I know that a few years back, Augsburg Fortress published an edition with discussion questions.
God bless!
Jeff:
I was definitely a Sooner and a Panther fan last night! Happily, they helped my Buckeyes out. But LSU is a great team with maybe the best talent in the country. Plus, Les Miles, as a grad of the school up north, will have added incentive to try to spoil my fun.
Before this season began, I never thought the Buckeyes would be playing for a national title again this year. It's been an incredible year!
Mark
