Whenever I see this album or the picture, I think of two things: (1) what was it like for Paul to cross that street barefoot? and (2) who looks more like Jesus - George or John? From the profile view, I can't tell.
The cover was thought to be among the "clues" that McCartney was dead. It was supposed to represent an Hindu funeral. The deceased is barefooted. Lennon was supposed to be some sort of priest and Harrison was supposed to be a member of the great unwashed masses. I forget what they said about Ringo Starr.
