Lutheran composer John Ylvisaker has written wonderful hymns, praise songs, and liturgies. He's been prolific. I Was There to Hear Your Borning Cry is his most well-known composition. It's a love song from God to the baptized.
We will be singing it again this coming Sunday prior to a baptism.
