Fear is no excuse for hatred

Fear is no excuse for hate.

In Portland, a man who is not Muslim and escaped his homeland because of religious persecution, came back home from a recent trip to find his place vandalized, painted with anti-Muslim messages. Such hatred is neither Christian nor American.

It is stupid and misinformed.

Love...and hate

This is why the people who can hurt us most are the ones we love the most. Hate isn't the opposite of love. The opposite of love is indifference. And, at least in our personal lives and relationships, we reserve hatred for those we love and who have let us down.
