More Thoughts on Overcoming Worry

My colleague Glen VanderKloot sends out daily emailed inspirations to which I subscribe. Today's is a gem, fitting with my current message series, Overcoming Worry. (See here and here.)

From Glen:
A Thought for the Day

On a recent trip to the Grand Canyon, a troubled woman realized that there was something out there larger than her worries. She decided to toss her worries over the side of the canyon.

It's a big world out there - much larger than our worries. When we step out into the world, we can leave our worries behind, or at least see them in their true perspective.

Scripture
Matthew 6:25 TNIV

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?

Prayer
Lord, help me trust rather than worry.
Amen
