Les Paul on YouTube

Via Newsweek. Paul, the 94-year old musical genius and inventor, died today. His impact goes way beyond his own work because what he did facilitated the genius of everyone from Chet Atkins to Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton to Phil Keaggy, George Benson to The Edge,

I know he was influential, but I've never really listened to any of his music personally. I certainly appreciate a lot of the musicians who claim him as an inspiration, in particular Mark Knopfler.

He seemed like a cool guy from the interview excerpts they were playing on NPR all day. He had a good run.
