I'm a sinner, no better than any other human being. I have no personal bragging rights. My only boast is that, in spite of my many sins and my numerous faults, through God's grace, given in Jesus Christ, my sins are forgiven and I have a new life.

Phil Keaggy - Let Everything Else Go
Phil Keaggy is one of the finest guitarists you'll ever hear. A pioneer in the country-rock field with his band, Glass Harp, he toured with some of the top acts in the 1970s. Following his conversion to Christianity, he became a top artist in the emerging realm of Christian Rock. In the ensuing years, he has produced a stunning body of work and more recently, has gotten back together with Glass Harp for gigs--including some at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland--and at least one new CD. Last year, Keaggy released a wonderful collection of new early-rock style compositions with Randy Stonehill. That release, Mystery Highway, is worth checking out at iTunes.

Phil Keaggy is my favorite musician. He's an amazing talent, and such a gentle man, very unpretentious, very encouraging to other musicians. He's known as one of the world's great guitarists, and yet he is missing a finger on his picking hand.
I listen to Keaggy's instrumentals a lot when I'm meditating or reading the Word. They put me in the right frame of mind to focus on God.
