We didn't visit any of the islands. We did take a day trip to Drayton Hall, the old rice plantation, and to Beaufort. Beaufort was a bit disappointing, a mite too precious for our tastes. But the Drayton Hall excursion belongs in another post that I hope to tackle next week.
It is a very pretty city and the community is to be commended for its commitment to preservation and restoration.
