Readers of this blog turned out to be prescient. When polled, they overwhelmingly picked USC over Oklahoma for the national collegiate football championship. With the Trojans' decisive win, they decisively decimated any slim hopes that Auburn, which also had a perfect season, might slip through the BCS cracks and win the national title.
I'm sure that almost anybody who follows college footbal will agree that some sort of playoff system should be adopted.
My unbiased opinion of who should be called the favorite to win the national championship next year is: The Ohio State University Buckeyes.
